Human geology is one of the two major branches of geographyand is often called cultural geography. Human geography is the study of the
many cultural aspects found throughout the world and how they relate to the
spaces and places where they originate and then travel as people continually
move across various areas.
Geology imposes on us humans vastly more than
most of us acknowledge, or realize. Oh, we realize that some places are good
for farming, and others not, and some places have important resources, and
other not. And we know that mountains make travel difficult, unless you are in
a car on an interstate highway.
